I seriously love this show with a passion, this is what I call COMEDY
我真的太喜欢这部电视剧了, 这才是喜剧中的佼佼者啊
First of all, whether it is the plot or the characters, the show is both interesting and hilarious. The four main characters, Rose, Blanche, Dorothy, and Sofia are literally the coolest people ever. Even though they aren’t teenagers, like we often see on TV shows, they can’t even be called middle-aged. But this show gave them space for them to completely just go nuts and show off their immense well of talent. Rose’s innocence and optimism, Blanche’s confidence and bravery, Dorothy and Sofia’s witty and sardonic tongue, each character is so unique and each has a wonderful story line to go with their characteristic. This is what I call representing realistic characters for older women!
首先 无论是角色还是故事线，这部电视剧都十分的有趣和好笑。四位主演，Rose、Blanche、Dorothy、Sofia简直太绝了。尽管年龄不是我们常见的青少年，甚至连中年都算不上，但是电视剧正真意义上的给了他们完全发挥的空间。Rose的单纯乐观，Blanche的自信大胆，Dorothy和Sofia的搞笑毒舌，每一个角色都有自己的特点，都有自己完整的故事线。这才是正真意义上的给步入老年的女性带来真实的角色啊！
Some of the characters are divorced, others are widows, but their marital status and relationship to men isn't what defines them. This is just as their age isn’t what defines them; in fact, the show barely mentions age, except when to discuss the constraints society places on those who have reached a certain age. They might be mothers and grandmothers, but more than that, they are women who hate and love, who accept and love themselves, who try to live happily and healthily. They might not have the characteristics of a young girl anymore, but in return they have created for themselves a mature, confident charisma!
她们有人离婚有人丧偶，但是真的不是定义她们的。她们的年龄也无法的定义她们，故事中唯一提到年龄的时候都是在讨论社会对年龄的限制。她们是母亲也是奶奶外婆，但她们更多的是敢爱敢恨，接受自己的并且爱惜自己的，快乐努力生活的女人啊！她们没有了小女孩的羞涩，但是拥有的成熟的，自信的魅力啊！
Then the plot. Each episode is around 25 minutes, and each episode is its own story, and as far as I can see, each episode has an important and beautiful topic. One of my favourite things of this show is the themes it chooses to present. The ones that they have delved especially deep into are probably friendship and love.
再来讲讲故事线。一集只有25分钟左右，每一集都是完整的故事，而且每一集的主题都很美好。我最喜欢这部电视剧的一个地方就是它的主题。做深入讨论的几个主题应该是友谊以及爱情。
Yes, you read that correctly. Love and sex. This is another thing I love about this show: it didn’t try to define the characters because of their age, and instead chose to help the audience see a more realistic side of these women. Who said you can’t date and have fun when you get older?
是的你没有看错，爱情and开车，这也是我超级欣赏这部电视剧的一个部分：它没有因为主角们年龄比较大而给她们下定义，反倒让观众看到了真实的一面。谁说年龄大了就不能谈恋爱开车？
There were also many topics that were soooo beyond their time. Like their discussions of the LGBTQ community, the discrimination women go through, and even delved into the subjects of familial love, workplace inequality and harassment, and just life in general. I won’t go into the specifics here, but seriously, watching this show is such an educational experience, if only because they also teach you how to humorously and sharply respond to all types of societal problems.
但是还有更多很治愈的题材，比如说对LGBTQ这个团体的讨论，对社会上对女人的歧视的探讨，对亲情啊职场不公/骚扰啊人生啊都有深入的讨论。具体我就不说了，但是真的 这部剧谁看谁学到，社会上太多问题她们都以幽默风趣且犀利的方式回应了。
This is a show that first began airing in 1985, yet the views it held on an assortment of subjects was far beyond its time. I think that is why even today, it remains relevant and a classic: The Golden Girls will never go out of fashion.
这是一部1985年播出的剧，其中它的一切认知啊对待事情的看法啊 都远远超过了它的时代，是一部我觉得不会过时的经典。
Lastly (and this is for my Chinese and any other international readers), this show has a lot of American cultural references, especially in its punchlines, so is actually extremely helpful for students who want to study in America. And seriously, each episode is only 25 minutes, literally just a lunch break, and you get realistic representation of older women, funny jokes that will probably make you laugh at loud, relevant discussion about relationships and love, AND you get thought-provoking commentaries on societal issues. Tell me that isn’t an amazing package. I dare you.
最后我想说，这部电视剧中也有很多跟美国文化有关的玩笑，以后想要出国的同学们也可以看看！而且真的，一集只有25分钟左右，一个午休的时间，既可以让你看到对年纪较大的女性的人性化描写，还可以让你开心的笑啊多了解亲情友情爱情啊，还可以提供对社会的犀利点评。这不赚飞了？
I think the show is pretty similar to shows like Cheers, Friends, and 2 Broke Girls in its style and episode presentation, so if you like those shows, you need to check out The Golden Girls!
我觉得和《干杯酒吧》《老友记》《破产姐妹》比较像，喜欢这类的姐妹可以冲了！
Finally, I sincerely hope that one day, everywhere around the world, there will be more and more opportunities, scripts, characters like this for actresses of a certain age, using comedy to represent the most realistic side of life!
最后的最后，希望以后国内也会越来越多这样子的电视剧电影，可以对于年龄大一些的女性演员and角色and剧本有更大的包容性，可以以喜剧的方式真实的展示人生！
