Finished the iconic Rebecca today yayyyy, I’ve always wanted to read it
今天看完了这本著作《丽贝卡》yayyy一直都好想看
I love the twists and turns in this book, the truth about Rebecca, and all the different characterisations. I think the most interesting character is probably Mrs. Danvers, because of her obsession with Rebecca and disgust for the main character.
好喜欢这本书的各种转折，关于丽贝卡的真相，还有各种关于人物的刻画。最有趣的我觉得应该是Ms Danvers的，她对丽贝卡的执着以及对女主的看不起。
I think the book is also a wonderful learning model for foreshadowing. Whether it is Rebecca’s cousin’s three, or Mrs. Danvers final expressions and thoughts, the author constantly leaves us feeling like there is a sense of suspense. And I really liked this small detail in the book: although we hear about the main character’s name and it being different, we don’t ever actually know what it is. I think this is a wonderfully subtle way to characterise this character, because she is, for the most part, a little girl, and everyone not calling her by her name perfectly illustrates how shy and ill-fitting she is in their world.
我觉得书中还有一点超级值得学习，那就是它留下的伏笔。无论是丽巴卡表哥的威胁，或者是Ms Danvers最后看的事情都一直给读者带来一种悬疑的感觉。而且我很喜欢书中一个小细节，那就是我们虽然有看到作者对女主名字的描写，但是我们一直没有真正的知道。我觉得这一个小小的细节特别的可以刻画人物，因为我们看到的大多都是一个小女孩，大家不叫她的名字就刚好反映了她的内敛和“不符合他们的世界”这种感觉。
