Finished season 1 of the Joe Schmo Show today! (As per usual, setting aside all of my fan obsessions)
今天看完了Joe Schmo Show第一季！（先跟往常一样抛开粉丝滤镜）
This is a reality TV show. The plot of the show is super easy: a group fo actors are surrounding this man named Matt, who doesn’t know that the actors are actors, and the group participates in games and activities. Every night, the actors and Matt vote out one person, and the last person standing receives 100 thousand dollars. The pilot is mostly interesting because the actors are portraying these characters who are nothing like themselves, and in order to keep Matt fooled, have to literally be aware at all times what is going on. And this is a sleep-over type show, so these actors are basically just living in these characters’ skins all day and all night.
这是一部真人秀。剧的情节超级简单— 就是一群演员围绕着一个路人Matt，他不知道演员们是演员然后一起参加比赛类节目。每天晚上投出去一个人，最后一个人获得10万美金。剧情好看主要在于演员们饰演和自己不像的角色，所以时时刻刻都要紧绷着神经，而且这是一个住宿类节目 所以演员们几乎是每天都在以人设生活着并玩游戏。
I personally loved this show, all the games were hilarious, like having these middle aged men wear maid costumes, or more racy games like making people wear each other’s underwear (even though these were all not the actor’s actually underwear haha). The games were all designed and the winners were all previously decided upon, but the audience is unaware of who will win, so the experience is kind of like Matt. It was just a great viewing experience, watching a bunch of adults wearing all sorts of costumes and trying to be all these characters and one guy who just is not in on the joke.
我觉得超级好玩，各种小游戏都是很搞笑的那种，比如说要穿着女装啊或者别人的内裤这种比较露骨的游戏。小游戏们都是被设计好的有黑幕，但是观众跟那个Matt路人一样，也不知道结果，只有演员们知道。看的超级开心一群成年男女穿着奇奇怪怪的衣服凹人设以及一个蒙在鼓里的路人一脸懵逼哈哈哈
The characters were all pretty simple. Beside Matt who knows nothing, there were 8 characters, and all 8 of them were supposed to portray some type of survival TV show stereotype, like the dumb one, the troublemaker, etc. The show is filled with interview of the actual actors, and they are basically all just laughing at the absurdity of having to trick Matt the entire time. Because Matt knows nothing, the actors are basically all moving on improv, and have to be cautious the entire time of slip ups. Basically, these actors were all amazing haha, it was so interesting.
然后呢，角色也是很简单。除了Matt啥都不知道的，只有8位演员，每一个演员都饰演着一个真人秀节目里的那种“定型角色”，比如说有一个“蠢货”，一个“搞事情的”等等。剧里穿插着演员们的采访，各种背着Matt偷笑啥的。因为Matt不知道会发生什么，所以演员们全程即兴表演，还要小心不能漏嘴，都超级牛逼的哈哈哈可有趣了
The actors, like I said, were awesome. First, the main character Matt, the Joe Schmo. I actually searched the show up after I watched it, and it turned out he actually didn’t know anything at all. Then, the actors. They were all hilarious, especially the disgusting “Hutch,” who was both revolting and also hilarious, constantly making these vulgar jokes no one found funny. The actor who plays “The Hutch” kept calling his character out in his interview, which was, as you can imagine, also funny.
然后呢，就是各位演员们了。首先是主角路人小哥Matt，我后面看采访他是真的什么都不知道，哈哈哈真的可好笑了。然后各位配角（演员们）也都很好笑，特别是那个变态“The Hutch”，特别恶心也搞笑，捉弄别人开低俗的玩笑。饰演“The Hutch”的演员一脸难受骂自己的角色哈哈哈哈
Of course, now we have to talk about my beloved KRISTEN WIIG!! She plays this marriage counsellor, the “Quack,” who has been divorced three times, and likes to tell stories with her two therapy dolls, and does a lot of calming of minds (even for Matt). There was one part where I was super mad at Matt, where they’re playing this sumo wrestler game, and he basically bumps into Kristen a bit too hard, so hard she went to the hospital (even though this was 2003, I still felt terrible, OK?) And when Kristen fell down, she was still trying to maintain character, which is the most adorable thing ever, and said something like “Oh my stars.” (She hadn’t gotten SNL yet and was still an up and coming actress at this point) I seriously felt so bad for her!!
好的，最后到我最爱的KRISTEN WIIG了！！她饰演了一个结过三次婚的婚姻咨询，而且是一个奇奇怪怪的“Quack”，特别喜欢拿着自己的两个小娃娃讲故事，到处给各种人开导（包括路人Matt）。但是有一块儿我超级心疼：在玩一个游戏的时候，所有人穿上了相扑的衣服，Matt不小心撞伤了小小一只的Krissy，然后她就撞进医院了（虽然也是2003年的事情了）而且krissy一开始倒下的时候还想着保持角色，说了句“Oh my stars”心疼死了（这个时候姐还没接到SNL，还是个小白）
anyway, I definitely recommend this survival show, it is definitely the perfect thing for people who just want to watch a reality show for laughs!
anyway，超级推荐这部小众真人秀 ，超级适合想要开开心心看综艺的人！
Another watching Wiig works day. Being a fan of a comedic actress is literally such a happy thing, you get to watch all of these little hidden treasures of fun hehe.
今天又是开开心心看wiig的一天，粉上喜剧演员天天都可以考古小众有趣搞笑的作品嘿嘿
