今天看完了The Spoils of Babylon《巴比伦的陷落》
This is seriously such an arming TV show !!! It was so funny and so beautiful to watch!!!!! The entire cast just being themselves in this haha!!!
这部真的绝了啊啊啊啊啊哈哈哈哈哈太好笑了太好看了！！！全员搞笑憨批哈哈哈哈哈哈
OK, characters first, as usual. The show is basically a show within a show, and each episode starts with the “author” of the show within the show, and he pretends that the episode we then see is based on what he wrote (even though the book he claims the show was based on doesn’t exist in real life), and then start rambling on about funny things between the cast members of the show within the show, like, for instance, Kristen Wiig’s character was Lauoreighiya Samcake, who plays Cynthia Morehouse in the show within the show, and Samcake also happens to be the author Eric Jonrosh’s (Will Ferrell) ex-wife… it’s a whole thing). It’s… hilarious.
角色方面，这相当于是剧中剧，每一集的一开始有一个作者，然后假装接下来的剧情都是改编自他写的小说（其实根本没有这本小说），然后他还会滔滔不绝的讲一些跟演员的趣事（但是演员也不是真的演员，是这部剧的主演们所饰演的演员， 比如说我Wiig姐就是饰演一个叫Lauoreighiya Samcake，在剧中剧中饰演Cynthia Morehouse，还是作家Eric Jonrosh（Will Ferrell 饰）的前妻……就是一整个小故事了）就很好笑哈哈哈哈
Out of all the characters, I think I like the two main characters, Devon and Cynthia Morehouse, most. They are adopted siblings who have always loved each other romantically, and the show is basically about the two of them trying to sort out their love affair and the taboo of incest. (There were also two sex scenes, which were just hilarious. I think to fit in with Eric Jonrosh’ statement that they didn’t have a lot of money to make the show, Devon’s wife Lady Anne is played by a plastic mannequin, voiced by Carey Mulligan, and even their babies were plastic dolls)
角色里面我最喜欢的肯定是两位主角，Devon和Cynthia Morehouse，两位是领养兄妹，但是一直深爱着彼此，剧情就是围绕着他们俩的各种纠缠不清来讲的（咳咳床戏也有两场，但是有一场我笑到岔气哈哈哈因为好像是为了符合设定，所以没有用真人来饰演男主的妻子Lady Anne，反倒用了一个人偶（Carey Mulligan配音）哈哈哈就连两次生孩子都是两个娃娃哈哈哈）
The best thing about this film, and the funniest part about it, is the absolute ludicrousness of it. Like for example, the aforementioned dolls being characters, and also towards the end, where Devon is shot, but then is still able to just finish the entire story that we see over 6 episodes before dying, and also the female lead Cynthia Morehouse (played by my beloved Kristen Wiig) and Jessica Alba slapping each other dozens of times but none of their faces getting red or swollen… That kind of absurdity. Also, the wigs of the characters are so fake, on purpose haha. But, because we have the contact of Eric Jonrosh saying that he paid for this show out of his own pocket, these flaw make sense and actually make it seem more realistic and funny.
这部剧最大的亮点and笑点在于它的荒诞性。比如说像上面的孩子和角色都让娃娃来演，或者男主Devon被射了一枪后，讲了6集自己的故事后才死的哈哈哈，还有女主（也就是我姐 Wiig饰演的Cynthia）跟Jessica Alba的角色互扇嘴巴，扇了差不多10次脸都没红这种荒诞哈哈哈，还有角色的假发也是一个比一个看起来假。但是，正是因为前面作家说这部剧都是他自己花钱拍的，观众就可以理解这些瑕疵并且觉得很好笑哈哈哈
And now, my being a huge fan of Kristen Wiig must be made obvious here: KRISTEN IS SO PRETTY IN THIS!! SO!! PRETTY!! I LOVE IT WHEN SHE WEARS ANYTHING THAT IS REMOTELY VINTAGE!! (the show goes through quite a few decades, so that was also so much fun to watch the character’s outfits change) AND SHE GOT AN EMMY NOD FOR THIS SHOW!! I’M SO PROUD!!
还有，我的粉丝滤镜迫使我必须要说：KRISTEN绝美！！！！绝绝子！！！！好好看！！！！！啊啊啊啊！！！！真的好好看！！！好喜欢她穿复古的衣服，真的绝美啊啊啊啊！！（因为这部剧经历了好几个时代，所以可以看到角色穿各种时代的衣服，还挺有趣的哈哈）还因为这部剧提名艾美，好骄傲哈哈哈
Finally, every episode is about 20 minutes long, and its a comedy, so it is the perfect thing for you to watch during your lunch break (really great with food, but everything is), and for when you feel down and need something to cheer you up. There’s only 6 episodes in this season as well, so it is basically the length watching one movie.
最后，每一集只有差不多20多分钟的样子，而且还是喜剧，很适合心情不好的时候，或者吃饭的时候看看（超级下饭哈哈哈），一季也只有6集，相当于看一部电影的时长。
SUPER recommend this to people who like comedies and also don’t want watch really long shows!! This is definitely now my favourite show haha
超级推荐给喜欢喜剧而且不是很想看很长的电视剧的！！这部已经成为我最喜欢的电视剧了哈哈哈
