Watched the long awaited Dune today, and I’m psyched!!
今天看了期待了好久的《沙丘》！！
It was so good, so good, so good! I hope there’s a second film, because there are seriously so many things that I want explained! And this is just the beginning, so they have to continue making the films! (I’ve never read the book, so everything here is written from the perspective of a person whose first being exposed to Dune’s world.)
太好看了太好看了好喜欢！希望一定要有第二部，要不然真的太多我想要解释的东西没有解释完了！而且旅途刚刚开始，一定要继续拍下去！（我没看过书，所以后面的问题都是单纯的没看过书的人士的猜想）
Now, besides the amazingly realistic CGI, the hugely successful world building, the crazy fight scenes, and the best cast ever (I’ve literally been obsessed with all of them at some point: Timothee was my husband, Rebecca Ferguson has hooked me since The Greatest Showman and MI6, Euphoria made me fall in love with Zendaya, and Oscar Isaac plays Gomez in the new Addams Family film, so I was excited and happy the entire time just to see them), the film also had amazing characterization.
除了电影特别逼真高级的CGI，特别庞大的World Building，超然的打戏，以及超强演员阵容（几位主演我都爱过好久，甜茶是老公，Rebecca Ferguson从Greatest Showman和MI6开始爱，《亢奋》是爱赞姐的开始，Oscar Issac还是亚当斯一家中的戈麦兹，总而言之就是看得我开心还养眼）我最喜欢的是各种角色的各种暗示。
My personal favorite character was Rebecca Ferguson’s Jessica, Paul’s mom (I read somewhere that sometimes authors choose to use really normal names so as to not draw attention away from the story). Jessica is the most mysterious and interesting character in the film.
我觉得最突出的是Rebecca Ferguson的角色，Jessica，也就是男主Paul的妈妈（这些名字真的都好普通，我看过一本书就是作者故意选择这种普通的名字来让角色的名字不打扰观众）。Jessica是我觉得全片最神奇和神秘的人。
She is the user of a powerful power called The Voice, and the thing is, when Paul meets the leader of the Sisterhood, she says that Paul’s importance and his birthright was more than just Duke-hood, but also because he was Jessica’s son. Jessica’s story is implied throughout the film, but isn’t actually ever stated explicitly, so there better be a second film.
她是一个特殊Voice能力控制着的人之一，而且在男主和Sisterhood的带领人见面时，她说Paul的birthright不仅仅是Duke，而且他很重要的原因之一是因为他是Jessica的儿子。Jessica的背景故事暗示了很多，但是并没有明确说明白，所以我很期待第二部片子可以解释清楚。
And when Paul’s dad, the old Duke, said “I should’ve married you,” I really want to know what this means. Why are these two obviously in love people not married? Is this because of Jessica? Or something else? And everyone calls Jessica My Lady, so does no one else know that they aren’t married? And what if Paul is actually not Jessica’s child, and Jessica is actually his stepmom?
还有Paul的父亲，老Duke说的一句话：“I should‘ve married you.” 我也很想了解这句话后面的意思。为什么两位明明这么恩爱的人没有结婚？这是因为Jessica的身份吗？还是有别的情况？还有，所有人都尊称Jessica为My Lady，所以难道只有他们两个知道彼此是没有结婚的吗？那Paul是他们的孩子吗，还是Jessica其实是继母？
And there’s still more. Like why does the Voice go to girls but not boys but the Sisterhood didn’t punish Jessica when she taught it to Paul? And when Paul sees Jessica with blue eyes and blue marks of the indigenous people on her face, what does that mean?
还有一些关于Jessica的故事我想了解的，比如说为什么Voice只传男不传女但是Paul被传Sisterhood的领导也没干什么？为什么Jessica那么会打架？Paul看到Jessica眼睛发蓝脸上有星球本土人的痕迹，抱着一个宝宝是为什么？
Second film now please!!!!
